BUG: Client restarts every 17 minutes due to not detecting network adapter correctly

I saw that the new 2.8 update rolled out, so I go through the download and installation process. Nothing wrong there. I let Whatpulse run, while I surf through the internet a bit and try some games. Keep in mind, my client is set to pulse on startup, and ONLY on startup, not every hour or after a certain number of keystrokes. I go back to my game, and then after a few minutes, I see the Whatpulse tray icon show up again, saying "Pulse succeeded!" Odd. I go back, and then after a while, the icon appears once more. So I display all the tray icons on my taskbar, but then I start seeing extra Whatpulse icons, some once I hover over, they disappear. If I have the main window open as it's about to do its restart cycle, I can see the window closing, and then another Whatpulse tray icon appears with the message "Pulse succeeded!"

To answer the support questions and help narrow down the situation...
(1) I am running Whatpulse 2.8 (no beta updates have rolled out AFAIK).
(2) My OS is Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1.
(3) I did a clean reinstall of WinPCap 4.1.3 and even though it required me to close Whatpulse entirely, the re-installation did go successfully.
(4) My user account on the computer is under User, and I believe even as an Administrator, the issue would persist.
(5) The client itself doesn't tell me what is happening, but when I looked under watchdog.log I noticed something interesting in this screenshot...

The blue highlighted text is just from today. It happens to restart approximately on a 17 minute cycle.
(6) The only programs I had running as this started to occur were BizHawk 1.13.0 and Discord. I never had issues with either two applications causing Whatpulse to behave erratically like this.

My network adapter is Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit, and under the Network tab of the main window, it's blank. I unchecked "Show only active interfaces" and next to my network adapter, there is no download or upload speed listed. Solution would typically be to reinstall WinPCap once more. Did that, restarted PC, get Whatpulse running again, and every 17 minutes after the client starts, it STILL keeps restarting.
I uploaded the app.log onto Dropbox so staff members can take a look at what really is causing the problem.
